Former Secretary to the Delta State Government and Okiroro of Isoko Nation, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, alongside other political leaders, clergymen and top government functionaries, joined the Wife of the Delta State Governor, Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, at the Free Medical Outreach for Children with Autism and Other Special Needs held at the Isoko North Local Government Council Secretariat, Ozoro. The outreach, organised by the You Matter Charity Foundation, attracted hundreds of beneficiaries and their families from across the Isoko Federal Constituency.
Comrade Macaulay, who mobilised his political associates and supporters to participate in the programme, commended the First Lady for her unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and her sustained efforts at improving the lives of vulnerable children across Delta State. He described the initiative as life-changing, noting that many families are unable to afford wheelchairs and other assistive devices for children living with disabilities, making the Foundation’s intervention timely and impactful.
The former Delta SSG called on governments, corporate organisations, philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians to support initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of children with special needs. He stressed that caring for vulnerable members of society is a collective responsibility and urged individuals to extend assistance to children living with disabilities within their families and communities.
The outreach featured free medical consultations, health screening, distribution of wheelchairs, educational materials, assistive learning devices and welfare packages to children with autism and other special needs. Beneficiaries and their families expressed profound appreciation to Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori and the You Matter Charity Foundation for bringing hope, relief and renewed confidence to vulnerable households across the Isoko Federal Constituency.
