The Okiroro of Isoko Nation and former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, has joined other distinguished personalities, including serving and former government officials, clergymen, prominent chiefs from the Itsekiri Nation, political associates, and well-wishers, to honour the memory of his late friend and political associate, Dr. Joseph Otumara, former Commissioner for Health in Delta State.

The Service of Songs, held at Ugwangue, Warri, Delta State, provided an opportunity for family members, political associates, traditional leaders, government officials, friends, and other dignitaries to come together in remembrance of the deceased and to celebrate his life, public service, and contributions to the development of Delta State.

Addressing journalists at the solemn gathering, Macaulay expressed his condolences to the family of the late Dr. Otumara, describing his passing as a painful loss to his family, associates, and Itsekiri Nation.

He acknowledged the deceased’s contributions to public service and his commitment to the people, noting that his legacy would remain a source of inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

Macaulay prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and for God to grant the family, friends, and associates the strength and comfort to bear the loss.
