Former Delta SSG, Macaulay awards scholarship to late aide’s daughter

In a heartfelt gesture of support and solidarity, former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation, has offered scholarships to the daughter of his late aide, Prince Peter Ashaka, popularly known as IGWE.
Macaulay who visited family of late Prince Peter Ashaka, over the weekend accompanied by some of his aide’s, assured that the gesture was just to let the bereaved family know that they are not alone during this difficult time.
He promised to take care Princess Onome Ashaka school and house rent, who is in 100level, Pharmacology and Therapeutics department, Faculty of Basic Medical Science, Delta State University, Abraka, till she graduate from the University.
Comrade Macaulay, who is the Chairman of Macaulay Foundation, a charitable organisation based in Delta State, described the late Prince Peter Ashaka, as a loyal and hardworking aide who he trusted with everything he holds dearly, adding that his death was a painful reminder of the inevitability of God’s will.
Responding on behalf of the family, Hon Enifoghale Oyede, Chairman of Isoko Patriotic Front, (IPF), a political pressure group under the tutelage of Comrade Macaulay, which late Ashaka was a member, expressed deep gratitude to the Comrade Macaulay.
He said, “We sincerely appreciate your kindness, your efforts while our brother, colleague and friend was alive, and now this overwhelming support after his death. May God take you to greater heights in your career and political journey,” he prayed.
