A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and former Secretary to the State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation, has expressed optimism that Delta South Senatorial District will deliver a decisive and overwhelming victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.

Macaulay made the declaration while delivering a goodwill message at the Delta South Senatorial District APC meeting held at the Brownhill Event Centre, Ogunu, Warri, where he described the senatorial district as a dependable political stronghold capable of determining the fortunes of the party and its candidates.

He recalled the strategic role Delta South had played in previous elections, particularly during periods when the APC faced political challenges in other parts of the state, stressing that the district was once again prepared to rise to the occasion and surpass its previous electoral performance.
According to him, “the sun has risen” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Delta State Governor, the party’s senatorial candidate and other APC candidates seeking election into the National and State Assemblies, expressing confidence that the prevailing political atmosphere favours the party.

The former SSG said the APC had commenced extensive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections, noting that party members, leaders and supporters were making considerable sacrifices to secure victory for all the party’s candidates.

He further observed that political leaders and party faithful were increasingly returning to their communities and villages to engage the electorate, strengthen grassroots structures and consolidate support for the APC ahead of the polls.
Macaulay urged party members to remain united, committed and focused, stressing that internal cohesion and sustained grassroots mobilisation would be critical to achieving the party’s objectives. He called on the people of Delta South to support the APC candidates and their mandate, declaring that the district was fully prepared to deliver an overwhelming victory for the party in 2027.
